Why are hard-working middle-class Americans so opposed to entitlement programs?

1) They were raised in households where nothing was achieved without hard work and sacrifice.

2) They feel that to appreciate gifts from others you also must have given of yourself to others and to your community.

3) They believe that the ongoing use of entitlement programs does not encourage a work ethic.

4) They observe welfare fraud.

5) They hear how you can work the system.

6) They hear and see a disproportionate number of people in the country illegally using their tax dollars as a lifestyle.

7) They see people having children using tax dollars to support them.
